The dialogue between Ukrainian mine action operators forms uniform precepts of professional ethics in the field

This was confirmed by the meeting of representatives of national mine action operators under the auspices of the Ukrainian National Association for Humanitarian Demining, which took place in Kyiv the other day.

Helping the state to create an effective, transparent and safe system of humanitarian demining was the cross-cutting issue of the meeting. The participants also discussed other pressing issues of the development of humanitarian demining in Ukraine. In particular, proposals for improving the methodology for determining the cost of demining services, clarifying qualification criteria for procurement participants, approaches to regulating subcontracting within state programs, as well as developing tools for informing society about the progress of works and the results of demining. Based on the results of the meeting, it was decided to prepare agreed proposals to state bodies on improving the regulatory framework and increasing the effectiveness of humanitarian demining.

SGS definitely confirmed their readiness to join forces with other mine action operators to support state initiatives, restore territories and ensure the safety of Ukrainian citizens.
