SGS participated in UNDP sessions, aimed at enhancing awareness and strengthening capacities in the areas of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) in the context of humanitarian demining
Yesterday, the SGS representative, together with other humanitarian demining operators, government agencies and profile organizations, became participants in the training of learning about Gender -Based violence (GBV) and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).
Humanitarian demining operators are also an integral part of the global humanitarian aid program. Therefore, humanitarian response and protection is an important, relevant and necessary topic.
The participants of the training discussed various aspects of possible cases of gender -conditioned violence and sexual exploitation in the field of mineh activity. The impact of GZN and HR on humanitarian demining, as well as the difference between them, was understood. Learned how to detect GZN and SES, as well as prevent such cases and respond to them.
The SGS team is grateful to the training organizer - UNDP - for their knowledge and will implement them into their activities. In particular, both in the form of internal training among employees and when working with beneficiaries on the ground.
