SGS participated in the next cluster of mine activity
Such a joint meeting on coordination in the field of mine activity - cluster - is conducted regularly for the exchange of information between the government, the operators of the mine activity and other interested parties on the latest news and processes in the field of mine activity.
Today's cluster was aimed at discussing processes and challenges, as well as to agree on the next steps in the activity. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the National Authority for Mine Activity, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the SES, international technical assistance projects, PMD operators, international government and non -governmental organizations, and other representatives of the PMD cluster.
UNDP was confirmed in the field of PMD, the main points were voiced by Ben Lark, the project manager of the project in Ukraine. The first reports of infrastructure (landfill) were presented for testing innovations in the field of Humanitarian demining UTTC. And IMMAP representatives called for cooperation in the field of information management in the field of mine activity.
The presentation of the use of virtual reality to inform the risks of explosive ammunition (EORE) from Safer Access was interesting. And also, the presentation of the underwater demining initiative head of the Ukrainian Center for Humanitarian Underwater Demining.
Eleanor Porrett, Director of BF “Swiss Fund for FSD Activities in Ukraine” presented a study “The perception of women employment in the field of humanitarian demining. Key barriers”.
