SGS participated in the forum on the peculiarities of informing the population about the risks of explosive objects

The participants discussed the current situation of contamination with explosive objects of the territory of Ukraine. 30% of the country's territory remains replaced, weapons continue to injure and kill citizens.

In addition, the main problems are the restrictions of access to natural resources and food, infrastructure, as well as preventing the full work of economic entities. In addition, despite the high level of informing the population with the GNP by both the state, public organizations, and the operators of mine activity, the level of awareness is insufficient. In particular, according to UNICEF, only 57% of children surveyed under 12 years of age are capable of identifying explosive objects.

Therefore, the purpose of the event was to initiate the creation of an international information and innovative educational hub on humanitarian demining. It should coordinate actions to increase the effectiveness of measures aimed at reducing and eliminating the negative effects of the negative impact of GNP on the socio-economic conditions of life and the environment, and the risks associated with them.

The main tasks should be: carrying out information and educational work on the population, creation and implementation of curricula, information content, implementation of educational events and even the creation of an interactive museum of humanitarian demining.
