SGS extends its condolences to the Norwegian People’s Aid team

We were deeply saddened to learn about the death of a 24-year-old demining specialist from the international humanitarian organization Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), who was killed as a result of a Russian shelling attack on Novopetrivka in Kherson Oblast.

The SGS team expresses its sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, colleagues of the deceased, and the entire NPA team. We also wish a swift recovery to the injured specialists, including those who remain in critical condition.

We strongly condemn attacks on humanitarian workers who risk their lives every day to restore safety for people and communities in Ukraine.

This tragedy is yet another painful reminder that humanitarian demining in Ukraine is carried out under extremely dangerous conditions, and that the work of deminers is a service to human life that must be protected.

May his memory be eternal.
