SGS advises not to ignore mine warning signs

Two cars blew up with explosive devices, as a result of which five people died, three were injured. In both cases, local residents were engaged in felling and transporting wood, arbitrarily changed the route and drove into mined areas marked with warning signs "Mines!".

"A farmer is the owner of a facility in the Kyiv region, which is currently being cleared by our deminers, a mine blew up a few years ago. He was making a tour of the territory, inspecting the extent of contamination with explosive objects. His car blew up on a mine. The situation was saved by the fact that the rear wheel was blown up and only the rear part of the car was torn off, the farmer was not injured," SGS experts said.
