Safe Communities Begin with Respect: The Team at SGS Completed Training on Preventing and Responding to Gender-Based Violence

Specialists of Safe Ground Solutions completed the training “Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence”delivered by Medical Corps Ukraine.

For a humanitarian demining operator, this knowledge is especially important, as work is carried out in war-affected communities where people have experienced displacement, loss of homes, trauma, and increased social risks. While engaging with local populations, specialists must not only ensure land safety, but also act with sensitivity, ethics, and professionalism toward the needs of women, men, children, and vulnerable groups.

Integrating the principles of protection, equality, and non-discrimination into daily operations is an essential part of modern and responsible mine action.
