Safe childhood - childhood without mines!

Safe childhood - childhood without mines!

Today, November 20, Ukraine celebrates World Children's Day for the first time. This day reminds us of the most important thing - every child has the right to protection, care and a safe childhood. In the modern conditions of Russia's war against Ukraine, this right acquires special importance. Where our children should be playing carefree, today there are dangers that they should not even know about. But reality demands responsibility and action from us, adults. Mine action operators protect children "in the fields" by finding and disarming explosive objects. And they also protect children with knowledge - conducting safety lessons.

That is why, this week and next, SGS is holding a series of mine safety trainings for junior high school students, "Safe Adventure: What to Do If You See an Explosive Object." "These are not just lessons - they are interactive classes in a game format that help children learn how to recognize dangerous objects, why it is important not to touch suspicious finds and always seek help from adults. Together, while playing, we learn and repeat the main rules of today - to be attentive and conscious," said the head of the SGS information department.

Every right action, every word heard, every safety lesson is a step towards ensuring that children do not have to face the dangers of war. On Universal Children's Day, we don't just talk about rights - we do everything to make them a reality.
