Plot by Plot — Returning Land to Safe Use
Humanitarian demining of agricultural land belonging to YUG-M Agrofirma LLC continues in the Kharkiv region. Cleared plots are gradually undergoing external quality control, receiving certificates from the Mine Action Centre and being returned to safe use.
At the same time, SGS deminers continue to encounter new “remnants” of war. Recent findings include parts of rocket munitions, their casings and engine sections, shell fragments, and numerous hazardous metal components.
Due to intensive operations and high temperatures, the Zmiy mechanical demining system temporarily required repairs. The machine is now back in service, and work continues — plot by plot, until Ukrainian land is fully cleared of the contamination left by war.
