Moving Safely

Moving Safely

On June 1, the world marked International Children’s Day. As part of its mine safety lessons, the SGS team held a safe movement activity — a simple, active and easy-to-understand learning format that helps children remember important rules through movement, repetition and interaction.

Mine safety for children cannot be just information. It should become simple, clear and easy-to-recall skills for the moment when they are needed most: do not approach; do not touch; inform an adult or call emergency services at 101 / 102.

Through play, children remember safe behavior algorithms more effectively, learn to notice risks and understand that even an unknown object can be dangerous.

SGS continues to teach children to act attentively, carefully and safely. Small steps toward greater safety.
