Archaeologists carefully explore the ground to discover and preserve traces of the past.Demining specialists also read the land carefully — centimetre by centimetre. But their task is different: to find the dangerous remnants of war and make sure they do not shape our future.
Both professions require patience, precision, experience, and the ability to notice what others might easily overlook.
So today, we congratulate archaeologists on their professional holiday and wish our deminers that all their “finds” will soon belong only in museums and history books.
May the land once again preserve history — not danger. 🇺🇦
