Demining Quality Is a Continuous “Safety Framework”
A representative of Safe Ground Solutions LLC (SGS) participated in the 3rd “Safety Framework” Roundtable, dedicated to the quality and safety of land release.
Of particular importance to SGS was the discussion on ensuring quality not only during the final inspection but throughout the entire operational cycle—from survey and planning to documenting results, handing cleared land back for use, and subsequent monitoring.
This approach is especially relevant amid ongoing hostilities. Recontamination, newly emerging information about hazards, UAV-related threats, and changes in the security situation require continuous data updates and clear criteria for suspending or resuming operations.
The participation of mine action operators in this professional dialogue is essential for developing practical and regulatory solutions that strengthen confidence in clearance outcomes and ensure that land can be returned to use safely.
