240 hectares of land in the Kharkiv region are coming back to life
The SGS team started clearing 240 hectares of agricultural land of "Agrofirma YuG-M" LLC in the Kharkiv region. The works are carried out by order of the Center for Humanitarian Demining.
Specialists use a comprehensive approach on the territory: technical survey, mechanized demining, clearing of the combat area and manual demining in accordance with national and international mine action standards.
According to the results of preliminary assessments, the site may contain various types of threats — from cluster munitions to anti-personnel and anti-vehicle mines, as well as other explosive remnants of war.
Each cleared hectare is:
safer communities
restoration of agriculture
a step towards the economic recovery of the region.
Humanitarian demining is about keeping people safe and bringing life back to earth.
Every step is safe. Every life is valuable!
